What type of church is OABC?

We are a Baptist Church that affiliates with the Southern Baptist Convention; but no matter what your background, you are welcome to visit with us!

What should I expect?

Each Sunday, our worship team leads us in a rich integration of contemporary and traditional worship songs. We then walk through a passage from the Bible and respond in worship. Our morning services start at 10:45 AM and typically end by 12:15 PM.

What should I wear?

Dress how you feel comfortable. We want to create an environment where you can be comfortable enough to engage with us and encounter God without distraction. At OABC, you’ll find people dress casual, business casual, and others wearing traditional Sunday apparel.

What about Sunday School?

We offer a number of Sunday School classes for both children and adults. All classes start at 9:30 AM and let out at 10:30 AM, just in time to get settled in for service at 10:45 AM. What about my kids?

We strive to create environments that are both safe and celebratory of the child’s age and stage of life. We have a new, well-kept nursery and well-kept facilities for children and youth. Our teachers and staff undergo background checks and regular training and equipping to ensure that the very best care is being provided for the children at all times. We love what we do and the children we get to work with!

Here’s what we offer for children and youth on Sunday mornings:

Birth – 3 years

  • The Nursery will be available for mothers to use during the Sunday School hour.

  • The Encouragers class, led by Tim Coleman, is family-friendly if you’d like to attend a class with your young children.

  • Nursery care is available during the Sunday morning worship service.

  • The Nursery is located right at the front of the church in front of the Welcome Center.

Pre-K – 4th Grade

  • Sunday School | 9:30 AM

  • Our Elementary class meets in Room 410 [Kids Center - The front room of our old sanctuary]

Kids Worship

  • Kids Worship is available for ages 4-6+ during the Sunday morning worship service.

  • Kids are dismissed right before the sermon [Kids Center].

5th – 12th Grade

Sunday School | 9:30 AM

Meeting in the Youth Room (Upstairs from the Courtyard)
